Today is:  My Mother-in-Law's birthday.  Wishing a very happy birthday to Paula!

Outside it is a beautiful sunny but humid day.  Tropical Storm Isaac is supposed to cause some rain later but for now it is beautiful outside.

Peter comes home from my parents today!!!  YAY!!! They should be at my house around 4.  I get off work at 5. CANNOT wait to see him. He's been gone all week.  We pick Hannah up from camp tomorrow at 5:45.  Again, CANNOT wait! 

I hope this format isn't totally boring to everyone reading this journal but it works well for me and forces me to think about the week ahead. So...

Got the kids report cards yesterday.  They were not great. Didn't expect Hannah's to be since she hasn't exactly been doing her homework but was surprised that Peter's wasn't great.  Spoke to his teacher today. Mainly she said that he needs to slow down and not rush through assignments.  Oh, and the he needs to be neater and more organized.  Ha! ( Read more... )

We took the kids to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) today for the annual CMT evaluation.  It went well, aside from being long.  Since they are enrolled in a study there are a lot of tests and measurements to be taken.  Overall the kids did great.  They are both stable meaning the Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) hasn't progressed in the last ( Read more... )

Tonight was absolutely no fun at our house.  I got home at 9:30 and promptly got  hit by  Hannah with - I have no friends, nobody to play with at recess and nobody invites me to their birthday parties.  My poor baby!  I hate this.  I can't imagine how my mom did it.  I went  through the same things and remember how awful it felt.  I wish there was ( Read more... )
